For years, I focused more on mastering the craft than building a social media presence. Most of my time went into learning, building, and helping others. Now that the foundation is in place, I’m ready to share more of the journey.
For a long time, I wasn’t focused on building a social media presence. I was focused on the work. Most of my time went into learning, building, improving my craft, and helping other people bring their ideas to life. While a lot of people were chasing attention, I was chasing skill.
That season mattered. It gave me the reps. It gave me the failures, the lessons, and the real experience that can’t be faked online. A lot of what I know now came from spending quiet hours building things, solving problems, and staying committed to getting better when nobody was watching.
I don’t regret that at all. In fact, I think too many people try to document a journey they haven’t really lived yet. I wanted the foundation first. I wanted the substance first. I wanted to make sure that when I spoke, I actually had something real to say.
Now I feel like the groundwork has been laid. The businesses are real. The systems are real. The lessons are real. And because of that, I want to share more. Not just what I’m building, but what I’m learning, what’s working, what’s not, and what it really looks like to grow through craft, discipline, and execution.
Social media can be one of two things: a distraction, or a place to learn and grow. The difference is in how you use it. If you consume everything mindlessly, it will drain your attention and pull you away from your purpose. But if you use it intentionally, it can expose you to new ideas, new perspectives, and the kind of information that helps you level up.
That’s why it has to be consumed wisely. Not everything deserves your attention. Not everybody deserves your energy. You have to know when to log off, when to learn, and when to get back to the real work. Social media should support your growth, not replace it.
So if you’ve been wondering why I’m showing up more now, that’s why. I spent years focused on the craft. Now I’m ready to share more of the journey. If that resonates with you, follow me on social networks. I’ll be sharing more about what I’m building, what I’m learning, and how I’m growing from here.
